Sink Rate & Working Depth

The SL1012 sinks at approximately 0.3 m/s (about 1 ft/s — roughly a 3-count per metre), which puts its effective working depth at 0.8–3.5 m on a straight retrieve or a controlled descent along weedlines and drop-offs. Underwater footage shows it sinking nose-first with the paddle tail still pulsing, so it never looks dead on the drop.

Built for the big-predator waters of Europe and North America: Northern pike along Dutch canals, German coastal lagoons and Swedish Baltic weed edges; muskie and trophy largemouth in the US Midwest lake systems; zander on deep river edges after dark. How to Fish It

Countdown & slow-rolling: count the bait down (~3 seconds per metre) to the zone, then retrieve just fast enough to feel the tail thump — the classic weedline search pattern.
Stop & go: reel 4–5 handle turns, then pause 2–3 seconds. The bait glides down nose-first as the tail keeps pulsing; most strikes come in the pause.
Twitch & long pause (cold water): short rod-tip twitches, then let it hang. The tail keeps waving while the body sits still.
